Designer - Intimates

Translates the design concept into prototype garments through in-depth knowledge of patternmaking, paying close attention to garment measurements, design features, and construction requirements that will then be communicated to the factory Recommend technical direction, both internally and externally, on corrective actions needed to bring samples to brand fit standards by utilizing written comments, sketches, photos, or pattern making as needed In addition to shapewear and daywear experience, must have knowledge for editing bra specs, mold foam pad specs, and grading from manufacturer; must have a deep understanding of bra fit, fabrications, and techniques a plus Work closely with Design Director, Technical Design Director and collaborate with the designers to enhance and evolve processes and procedures, as business evolves, while driving to elevate the quality of the product Evaluates samples for fit, measurement, pattern shaping, and functionality to ensure fit and proper styling and issues grading guidelines after fit approval Attends fit session on live model or mannequin and takes initiative of specific product(s) and anticipates and resolves any pre-production and production problems while in the fit process Partners with sales and production in the resolution of problems as necessary Keeps cross-functional partners informed regarding technical design information. Associate Designer with minimum 4- 5 years’ experience in the Intimate Apparel Industry, including patternmaking and construction experience with full knowledge of total production timeline Degree in Fashion Design or Certification in Apparel Manufacturing, Design, Patternmaking, or equivalent Knowledge of fit, patternmaking, fabrics, grading and construction standards Strong computer skills with preferred experience in patternmaking software. Working knowledge of patternmaking including grading, construction, and fit Strong verbal and written communication skills including organizational skills and ability to multi-task Working knowledge of Illustrator Company paid Medical, Dental and Life Insurance 10 paid holidays Paid vacation / personal and sick time Monday thru Friday work schedule
