DESIGN DIRECTOR (Creative)

Brand Overview: maurices is a women’s apparel retailer that celebrates feel good fashion for real life. We currently have an opportunity for a Design Director(Creative) -maurices to join our team located at our Corporate Office-maurices-Duluth, MN 55802. Position Overview: The Design Director at maurices will be responsible for the concepting and creation of campaigns that will be used across all brand channels, including email, print, social, paid media, video and store. • Create seasonal campaigns and manage design direction • Uphold brand visual guidelines and consistency in use • Mentor and develop creative team, providing direction and guidance for growth • Develop and present concepts and product stories to Director of Creative & Content • Maintain accurate and current knowledge of new trends • Elevate and evolve brand aesthetics while supporting overall brand direction • Collaborate with project managers, marketing planners, media, creative team and other partners to plan and execute creative ideas and ensure they are on brand • 10+ years of related experience in an agency or fashion brand • Be a proactive problem solver and thought leader by seeking out opportunities to better our visual communication • Strong portfolio demonstrating, branding, conceptual thinking and breadth of design and typography in a range of mediums • Strong conceptual skills and ability to formulate innovative ideas and provide clear direction and recommendations • Possess flexibility to adapt and thrive in a rapidly evolving, fast-paced work environment.
