Design Color Coordinator

About the Company: Import Children's Apparel Manufacturer Established since 1983 Multiple House Brands, Licenses and Private Labels This position is for the Girls Design Department (size Infant to 16) Position is Full-time and in-office Benefit Package includes: Health, Dental and Vision insurance, 401K, Life Insurance, Flex Spending, Pre-tax Transit Deduction Responsibilities: This position will oversee the daily workflow and priorities of production approval process - that includes color evaluations, print strike-offs, art technique and sizing awareness. Computer competencies including the ability to work in Adobe Illustrator, following design & production schedule, and teamwork. Design color coordinator works within the Graphic/Design team to ensure execution of design is followed through into production. Generate Tech Packs: art layouts and worksheets for allover prints and placement graphics including sizing, color pitching, and technique call-outs Communicate with agents and handle all Lab Dip and Strike-off approvals Assist in the sourcing of fabrics and trims Setup design menus for pricing and development of new and existing categories in collaboration with Design and Production Managers Management of seasonal colors: data entry, chart and book setups Track and manage technique abilities of individual agent/factories Ability to multi-task and organization is a must Qualifications: 2-3 years of design experience in Children's wear Computer savvy with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail Comprehensive understanding of color science and how to effectively communicate color corrections
