Exciting Design Assistant/PD - Outerwear direct hire role in the heart of NYC! Fabric Development Work with design to select & develop new fabrics/prints & Seasonal repeats Follow up with Mills/Agents for Ordering Sample Yardage & Sourcing Orders and manages fabric tests Create Purchase orders for Sampling Create Clear and organized charts of development status Work with in-house CAD team to develop new prints Organizes fabric room fabric headers (new development & mini batches) Follows up with Fabric pricing & Standards Checks & Reviews SSY invoices/charges with Mills & Factories Responsible for Sample Yardage Distribution/Allocation/Usage Chart Production Assists in negotiating fabric prices with Mills/Production Collects and organizes Fabric Detail Sheets Provides comments on Bulk fabrics with Design Approval Manages Bulk Fabric WIP chart Responsible for maintaining seasonal color standards Approve Bulk Fabric with design and send comments Maintain a seasonal Fabric Binder Keep a record of Approved Lab Dips & Strike-Offs
