Design Assistant

Job Description Create detailed technical flats and line-sheets; this includes intricate CAD work not only to sketch accurate flats, but also update sketches during the development and production processProficient at Illustrator and Photoshop Responsibilities Knowledge of garment construction and ability to execute CAD’s accurately Knowledge of Illustrator and photoshop to do print recolors Assist in the design process (pulling pantones, creating development and wash sheets, gathering inspiration) Attend designated development fittings and taking detailed notes Assist with organizing store bought sample purchases and returns Maintain and organize the design room (i.e. organize sample racks, development swatches, etc.) Skills and Requirements: Proficient at Illustrator and Photoshop Strong understanding of garment construction and fabrics (knowledge of treatments and washes is a plus) Knowledge of development tech packs is a plus Consistently up-to-date with market trends Self-motivated, positive and dependable attitude Exceptional communication and organizational skills Effective time management and ability to stay organized Flexible and adaptable to a very fast-paced environment Qualifications: Degree in Fashion, similar related field Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Proficient knowledge of garment construction and fit Minimum two years of experience as an assistant designer Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a must Advanced visual and written communication skills Some to advanced knowledge of fabrics across categories Job type Full Time schedule Monday- Friday Benefits: Dental Insurance Health insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time off work Remotely No
