Design Assistant

Women's fashion brand is looking for a freelance design assistant to work foru days per week with the creative director for product development from concept to delivery. Responsibilities Creating sketches for development in Adobe Illustrator Creating color stories Preparing and maintaining tech packs from intiial development through bulk Creating and maintaining charts for sample requests Daily communication and coordination with overseas suppliers for ongoing product development Requirements 3-5 years industry experience in apparel design Strong communication and follow-up skills both written and oral Advanced sketching skills with proficiency in both Illustrator flat sketches and hand sketches Strong color sense Highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn and grow in the company Bachelor's degree in fashion design Experience Outstanding Illustrator sketching capabilities Garment construction, 5 years preferred Fashion design, 5 years preferred Adobe Illustrator, 5 years preferred Job Type: Three month trial with possibility of permanent position Location: In office
