Denim Designer

Grace and Lace, a fashion-forward clothing brand for women is looking for a creative and driven Denim Designer to join our amazing team. We strive for excellence in everything we do. Technical sketches Participate in daily design and prototype reviews with design team and revise accordingly Create and distribute tech packs as needed Keep all design development archives organized Constantly researching new innovations, emerging trends, and key bodies Combine seasonal trends with brand guidelines to create new designs Work with Marketing, Production, and Merchandising teams to ensure product assortment and production goals are met Comment daily on received lab dips, knitdowns, strike-offs, and new prototypes in timely fashion to uphold development timeline Follow up with overseas vendors on new developments, fit samples, photo samples and exit factory dates Work closely with design management to ensure designs are on brand and on budget. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design Minimum 2-5 years of fashion design experience Thorough understanding of current trends, tech packs, and fit guidelines Demonstrated communication skills, with extensive experience dealing with overseas vendors Flexible Team Player, with the ability to collaborate with multiple people to get the job done Able to multitask and work on many different projects at once, keeping track of deadlines and balancing team workload as needed Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively Strong work ethic Positive, hard-working, can-do attitude Proficient in Excel, Photoshop and Illustrator Background in women’s denim is strongly preferred!
