You are extremely results-oriented, and a true solution-seeker You have a can-do attitude You should be a highly driven and results oriented individual, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment You Also Have: Fluency SQL and relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle) Fluency in Python Hands-on Experience in Airflow Hands-on Experience in Kafka Hands-on Experience with ETL/ELT Strong operational experience with Data Warehouse systems larger than 50 Tb (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle) Strong intuition for digging through mountains of data to find patterns, abnormalities Experience with cloud technologies(e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Below experience is beneficial, but not required: Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as MicroStrategy, Looker, Tableau, or similar Experience with Spark Experience with Infromatica Experience with Shell Scripting Experience with deployment, continuous integration technologies, container technologies (such as Docker), and source code management (such as Git) Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) As the Data Engineer, You Will: Partner with different project teams across the org to identify and understand functional requirements for data team Design and architect data pipelines and flows from different sources Build new or modify existing ETL/ELT processes: real-time and batch data Create new or modify existing data pipelines Partner up with different stakeholders to troubleshoot and investigate any data issues Make sure quality of the data and data processes meet the company standard Work with leaders across the organization to understand and build simple data solutions to complex problems Provide operational support to Tech and Business Partners Your Life and Career at HBC: Be part of a world-class team; work with an adventurous spirit; think and act like an owner-operator!
