Description He/she will be responsible for innovating, implementing and overseeing the following processes: financial close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, inventory accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other special projects. Responsibilities: Manage core accounting functions including but not limited to financial statements, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, tax compliance, inventory accounting, and various special analyses Develop and manage standard operating procedures for the department including a documented system of accounting policies and operations Monitor cash and funding balances. Partner with FP&A to accurately forecast cash position Ensure timely collection of outstanding A/R balances Manage payments of all accounts including the optimization of the flow of payables Liaise with external audits to ensure timely completion of tax filings Represent accounting department in implementation of new ERP system enhancements which includes the upgrade of existing ERP Bluecherry and the new accounting system Microsoft Dynamics 365. in new product costing system including variance analyses to standard cost Partner with Supply Chain to provide timely and accurate processes for inventory valuation Collaborate with FP&A on developing and maintaining detail chart of accounts that supports management reporting needs Provides management leadership and build, develop and maintain an efficient staff of financial professionals Ensures compliance with applicable laws and Company policies Qualifications: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience Outstanding record of accomplishment as a financial executive Experience in retail/apparel/consumer goods strongly preferred Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics/SL/365 required / strongly preferred Advanced Excel capabilities required Flexible professional who embraces change and innovation Optimistic, dynamic leader and collaborative business partner Motivated self-starter who takes initiative to drive results Deep commitment to, and proven track record of, high professional integrity Strategic thinker skilled in implementing technological and process improvements Must be a team builder and a leader who leads by example and service!
