Contemporary women's and men's california lifestyle brand seeks Apparel Print Designer. Key Responsibilities: Working with the design and fabric teams to develop original, on-brand apparel graphics, fabric and surface prints, full coverage prints, stripes, sweater patterns, embroidery and wash developments specific to women’s apparel Identifying key seasonal graphics and color trends through market research and analysis Developing artwork prints from conceptual ideation phase to final production/execution Interpreting sales data analysis to design iterations of top performing graphics Creation & management of seasonal artwork production files: Size/scale, Pantone color allocation, file separations, creating placement and seamless artwork repeats Oversee consistency in color standards and color pitch sheets across fabric and prints within each season Monitoring & commenting on strike-offs, driving quality at every stage of the process Contributing to seasonal design meetings and creative presentations. Provide feedback on ideas for improvement Flexibility to handle art and graphics projects related to design assets, marketing assets, and seasonal needs. Requirements: Proven ability to apply and perform graphic design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale, visual presentation development and layout Excellent familiarity with current trends, color, and design Knowledge of the wash/dye process, embellishments and different fabrics/limitations Must have knowledge of separation and printing processes for fabric and construction Strong communication, technical, organizational and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes Fast, proficient and organized workflow Expert knowledge of Adobe CS software (Photoshop, Bridge, Indesign, illustrator) 3+ years’ experience designing prints/apparel graphics Bachelor’s degree Knowledge/experience in fashion industry Ability to draw, illustrate, render by hand Basic typography/image skills
