Colorist

Komar, a global leader in the design, sourcing, manufacturing and distribution of apparel with a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brands is seeking a Colorist. Responsibilites Include: Collaborating with design teams to approve colors for prints and trims Color commenting on strikeoffs and lab dips Maintaining and distributing all color standards to each factory Review lab dips for fabrics and trims and communicate all comments to each factory Develop and maintain log status of approvals Maintain color library The ideal candidate will have: 2 -3 years of color experience handling color and print approvals Must have keen sense for color; Have the ability to pass the Munsell Hue Test Strong knowledge of knit and woven fabric – including printing and dyeing methods Experience using a color box Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good communication and follow up skills
