Job Title: Boutique Store Manager (Selling Manager)
Location: Cleveland, OH
Position Type: Full-Time, On-Site
About Us: Evie Lou is an upscale boutique curated for the chic, discerning shopper. We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional, high-touch shopping experience featuring high-quality fabrics, unique silhouettes, and personalized styling. We don’t just sell clothes; we build relationships.
The Job: We are seeking an energetic, high-performing Boutique Store Manager who thrives on the sales floor, loves styling clients and is passionate about mentoring a team to retail excellence.
The Opportunity - Put Your Stamp On It: This is not a "behind-the-desk" administrative role. As our Selling Manager, your primary stage is the sales floor—leading by example, driving revenue, and creating an unforgettable client experience. Because we are growing, we are looking for a visionary leader who wants ownership. You will create, refine and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across styling, clienteling and daily operations. If you have ever wanted to run a boutique with an entrepreneurial mindset and put your personal stamp on an organization, this is your opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Floor & Drive Sales: Act as the lead stylist on the floor. Achieve personal sales goals while simultaneously driving the team to meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly boutique targets.
Build & Motivate a Dream Team: Continuously train and recruit a high-vibrational sales team. Cultivate a culture of accountability, continuous learning and genuine enthusiasm.
Bridge the Brick-and-Mortar & E-Commerce Experience: Collaborate closely with our E-comm manager and marketing team to ensure a seamless omni-channel experience. You will execute on and interpret sales reports and marketing analytics to identify merchandise trends, optimize inventory levels and align in-store promotions with our thriving e-commerce business.
Establish Operational Excellence (SOPs): Design and execute operational structures from scratch. This includes creating official guidelines for clienteling, visual merchandising standards, inventory management and opening/closing procedures.
Elevate Clienteling: Deepen relationships with existing clients and build VIP client books. Implement structured outreach programs to ensure high customer retention.
Visual Merchandising & Inventory: Partner with ownership to maintain a stunning, luxury-level visual presentation. Oversee inventory accuracy, stock reception, and sell-through analysis.
Who You Are:
An Elite Seller: You have 3+ years of retail management experience in an upscale or refined environment, with a proven track record of smashing personal and store sales targets.
Data-Savvy & Collaborative: You aren't intimidated by numbers. You know how to read retail KPIs and marketing reports to make smart business decisions, and you love collaborating across channels (like e-commerce and digital marketing) to create a unified brand experience.
A Natural Leader: You don't manage from the back room. You coach in real-time on the sales floor, elevating your team's styling and closing skills through positive reinforcement and mentorship.
An Organized Builder: You have a knack for structure. You know what a well-run retail business looks like and possess the organizational skills to draft and implement effective SOPs.
Relationship-Driven: You understand that luxury retail is about connection, empathy, and impeccable service.
Adaptable & Resilient: You possess a high emotional intelligence (EQ) and a hands-on, "no task is too small" attitude.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 commensurate with experience.
Performance Incentives: Quarterly store performance bonuses plus individual commission structures to reward your impact as our sales leader.
Omni-channel Integration Bonus: Extra bonus opportunities tied to cross-channel growth and e-commerce collaboration milestones.
Employee Perks: Generous employee discount on our curated collections, a matching 401(K) program and a yearly profit-sharing program.
Professional Growth: A highly collaborative environment with immediate creative autonomy over store operations and a direct voice in the growth of the business.
To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a brief note detailing your experience in building retail teams and why you’re excited to design your own operational blueprint.
