A New York City apparel company seeks an Accountant to assist in company’s general accounting & bookkeeping. Job Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable Monthly, Quarterly and Annual General Ledger entries Bank, credit card and vendor reconciliations Monthly bank, credit card statement reconciliations General Ledger - Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Check processing Office admin Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Disburses petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Education and Skills: Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting, bookkeeping and Finance functions Proficient in QuickBooks (Outlook, Word, Excel) Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred Must have excellent organization/time management skills Detail-oriented and Highly Organized Multitasking and ability to prioritize Excellent Follow-Up skills Sense of Urgency & pro-active.
