You’re a hair, beauty, and fashion expert with at least 3 years of experience behind the chair. We’re a well-established Seattle salon that has recently moved into a large, sunny new space in beautiful Madison Valley, about 1 mile east of Capitol Hill. Canary Salon is located within walking distance of many lovely shops, spas, restaurants, is just two blocks from the Arboretum (name a more beautiful spot to take your lunch break), and has tons of all-day free parking. We have been pleasantly surprised that all of our clients have been thrilled to follow us here and believe your clients will feel the same way. Expectations: -You know how to dress yourself and present a professional, stylish appearance -You can provide a thorough client consultation -You are able to educate clients on how to manage their hair at home -You have enthusiastically pursued advanced training above and beyond beauty school -Cutting, coloring, and styling skills that suit our price point ($60-$90 haircut) Service commission is 40%-50% Retail commission is 10% and goes into your education and equipment fund PTO: we are *very big believers* in work/life balance -sick pay -paid holidays -we are closed the first week of July (with pay) -we are closed between Christmas Eve and New Year's Day (with pay) -you’ll also earn an additional week of paid vacation after your 1st, 2nd, and 5th anniversaries Obviously, services for you are free and hair products are at cost.
