BACK END ENGINEER

Company Description: Consumer Goods, Retail, FashionLocation: New York, NYResposnibilities/Requirements: Seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our engineering team and will be responsible for building seamless software applications that powers the company's operations and customer experience. This is an opportunity to have a direct impact on the customer facing experience of the brand and also set the foundation for systems that shape the future of our business. Although this position will likely involve more backend focused work, the ideal candidate would be excited to work across our entire stack. Some of what you’ll do: Focus on building and optimizing our back-office system which our fulfillment and customer experience teams utilize for prescription management as well as customer account and order management Tie our back-office tool into our consumer facing website via our customer account pages Develop flexible integrations and reusable internal tools that provide for clean and quick integrations with a variety of business partners (including our lens labs, 3PL partners, and warehouse management systems) Develop and iterate on all of our backend and frontend applications which power our company’s operations and customer experience Collaborate with product teams to implement world-class technical solutions to drive business value for all departments Solve challenges of scale and create efficient, optimized technical solutions for problems at hand This Role May Be A Good Fit For You If: You have a degree in Computer Science or related field You have at least 3+ years of hands on software engineering experience You have specific experience working as a backend software engineer You feel confident and comfortable working with NodeJS, React and/or JavaScript You are proficient in API design and standards You are proficient in databases and data structures You are proficient in unit, integration, load and other forms of application testing You are proficient in system & process documentation You’ll Love Working Here Because: Health, vision and dental insurance Unlimited vacation policy Competitive salaries with equity opportunities Retirement savings plan options Free eyewear (plus discounts for family and friends)
