Asst Designer - Swim

Basic Function: Work with senior designer in area of design, product development, organization and communication. Duties & Responsibilities: Assist and work with Design Team to develop and follow up on women’s swimwear collections from design through production Assist in preparation of initial tech pack with detail sketches Sketch new swim bodies in Illustrator, create swatches for cadding Create and update line sheets for seasonal meetings Organization and maintenance of design development including artwork, trims, fabric worksheets, initial development, line list, etc. Work with Design team to review and approve all trims and fabric submits Revise and update information in tech packs and communicate changes/updates to factories Requirements: Ability to design and sketch; basic understanding of garment construction; strong design and color sensibility Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills Computer skills: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, MS Outlook Team player, ability to multi-task, must have sense of urgency when necessary
