In addition, G-III currently designs, manufactures and markets an extensive range of apparel, including outerwear, dresses, sportswear, beachwear, women's suits and women's performance wear, as well as luggage and women's handbags, small leather goods and various accessories. The Associate Designer will assist the Designer to create a balanced and brand specific collection each season for all G-III Swimwear. · Provide reliable and responsible support to Senior Designer · Researching design concepts from magazines, runways, vintage, and from stores · Assist in developing new ideas for silhouette, color, concept boards, and trims · Source fabric for each season based on market trends by working with Fabric Team · Communicate with all cross functional teams (Sales, Production, Fabric, Tech) · Approving/commenting on color lab dips/ strike offs, for sample yardage and bulk · Creating presentation boards line boards for line meetings · Generate tech-packs with clear silhouette, garment construction, and trim information to overseas factories · Designing and selecting prints for each season · Work closely with Sales team to update line sheets and special request garments · Manage and maintain all Tracking charts · Keeping all charts/ binders organized by season Qualifications · Must have 3-5 years of design experience in swimwear or lingerie.
