Associate Production & Product Development Manager, Fashion Apparel

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Associate Production & Product Development Manager to support the end-to-end development and production process for our main apparel line.

This role serves as a key bridge between design, product development, production, and vendors — helping bring products from concept to bulk production while ensuring timelines, quality standards, costing, and delivery goals are achieved.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of apparel construction, product development workflows, sourcing, and production management, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This person must be highly organized, solutions-oriented, and capable of managing multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Product Development

Manage product development timelines from design handoff through production approval
Coordinate development with factories, vendors, mills, and trim suppliers
Track and manage submits including lab dips, strike-offs, trims, fit samples, PPS, and TOP samples
Review samples and communicate fit, construction, and quality comments to vendors
Assist in maintaining tech packs, BOMs, and product development records
Partner closely with design teams to ensure product vision is executed accurately and efficiently
Help source fabrics, trims, washes, and construction solutions when needed
Monitor development calendars and proactively follow up on approvals and deadlines

Production Management

Oversee production timelines and WIP tracking for assigned styles and programs
Manage purchase orders, production updates, shipment tracking, and delivery schedules
Communicate daily with factories regarding production status, approvals, and shipment timing
Proactively identify and resolve production, quality, or timeline issues
Help ensure products meet company quality, costing, and delivery standards
Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams regarding inbound shipments and inventory planning

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with design, sales, operations, and logistics teams to maintain alignment throughout the product lifecycle
Support key account programs and delivery requirements through strong internal communication and execution
Assist with seasonal line development calendars and launch readiness
Help streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency as the company grows

Quality & Process Management

Maintain organized production and development tracking systems
Help uphold garment construction, fit, and quality standards across the main line
Assist in troubleshooting fit, construction, sourcing, or production challenges
Support process improvements and operational organization across development and production functions

Qualifications

3–6+ years of experience in apparel product development, production, or sourcing
Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, fabrics, trims, and apparel manufacturing processes
Experience managing development calendars and production timelines
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong communication and vendor management abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, ERP/PLM systems, and production tracking tools

Preferred Experience

Experience in fashion, activewear, or private label apparel production
Familiarity with overseas factory communication and production workflows
Understanding of costing, sourcing, and merchandising processes
Experience supporting wholesale or key account programs is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000/yr
