Associate Merchandiser

The Merchandise Associate will play a critical supporting role in the detailed management of the product lifecycle process, in tracking and organizing samples, in creating and tracking purchase orders, in preparing weekly sales reports, in preparation of seasonal market appointments and in supporting the daily functions of the team. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Ensure seamless interaction to deliver a line that is designed, developed to meet market needs, margin goals, and calendar timeline. Manage sample process, which includes accurately sorting newly adopted styles by trend and category; discard and/or archive samples on a seasonal basis as well as coordinating and tracking all account samples to ensure sample requirements (PPs and TOPs) are met and any product changes are communicated to the buyers ahead of bulk shipment Perform multiple administrative responsibilities such as preparing reports and recaps for daily and weekly meetings, writing, updating, and tracking purchase orders, and actively tracking submits and other deliverables to ensure key product development and financial deadlines are met and in preparation for presentations Prepare for and attend all market week appointments Create and communicate relevant and effective presentations for product performance reviews, trend and sales meetings, and frequently attend and participate in meetings with cross-functional partners (Merchandising, Design and Sourcing) Create style boards detailing styles, color, season, delivery dates, and other product details in order to effectively communicate necessary information to cross-functional teams and external accounts Create and update purchase orders and account commit sheets regularly Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with Design, Sourcing and External Partners to support the business Maintain effective internal relationships by using professional communication and efficient processes Stay abreast of industry fashion trends and competitor activity through weekly market research, competitive shopping, and analysis Ability to self- prioritize workload and deliverables to meet deadlines Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others, both internally and with external accounts Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Business driving strengths including strong analytical and problem solving skills, organization and planning abilities, and solution oriented decision-making Organizational, planning, administrative, and written and verbal communication skills Understanding of Retail Math Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel)
