Position Overview: The Associate Manager, Sourcing, works in collaboration with their manager to own and drive the process from seasonal development of product to manufacturing, of the category/categories’ for which they are responsible and within the department strategies/goals. Performance requirements Supports and helps drive (category/categories) sourcing strategy Proposes supplier allocation that aligns to the annual plan and owns placements Monitors supplier performance ensuring visibility and solutions for issues across functions Identifies the need for new suppliers and works with manager to source and on-board the targeted suppliers Analyzes projections to ensure appropriate capacity levels are maintained Works with internal and external partners to resolve visibility issues that ensures  on-time delivery to DC; accountable for on-time handover Supports Product Development Partners with Design on product options to deliver best value and optimal cost Continually assesses supplier capabilities vs business needs and creates an action plan for “gap” Allocates styles to vendors/factories, and monitors on-time receipt of sample until program placement; assesses capabilities for cost, aesthetic and quality Ensures suppliers are clear on assortment changes and shifts Organizes liabilities and helps incorporate into future development
