ASSOCIATE MANAGER, INVENTORY ACCOUNTING

Job Summary: The Associate Manager, Inventory Accounting will be responsible for freight and duty actuals, analytics, forecasting future costs, AUC reporting, and Inbound Inventory In-Transit accounting. This position will partner heavily with Global Logistics and Sourcing, helping both organizations to achieve their targets established by senior leadership. In addition, this position will help ensure timely accuracy and accounting for all claims related to merchandise. Responsibilities: Key Accountabilities: Perform monthly processes related to core areas (in-transits, freight costing, clearing, AUC reporting, etc.) Ensure SOX compliance for areas of responsibility Complete monthly account reconciliations timely and accurately Analyze and report on freight costs on a monthly basis Develop and publish exception reporting related to freight and duty estimates Ensure inventory in-transit is accounted for accurately Participate in inventory forecasting and analytics in relevant areas Develop and maintain department policies and procedures Identify and implement process improvements Develop, maintain, and publish monthly and quarterly reporting Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field 5-7+ years of related experience Experience booking journal entries SAP experience preferred Experience using Cognos (or similar) business intelligence reporting Hyperion-Essbase a plus Skills and Behaviors: Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent Excel skills Strong planning and organizational skills Quick learner with an interest and drive to understand business processes Strong analytical and problem solving skills Ability to adapt to change and easily shift approach in response to business demands Excellent verbal and written communication skills Agility and flexibility during close processes, which are fast-paced and extremely time-sensitive
