Associate Fashion Designer

CIEBON, a contemporary design and apparel brand, is seeking a full-time passionateand innovative Associate Fashion Designer to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of fresh, trend-forward designs that resonate with our brand identity. You will collaborate closely with senior designers, merchandisers, and technical teams to bring visionary concepts to life through detailed sketches, technical specifications, and prototypes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in fashion design while actively participating in the entire product lifecycle from concept to production.

We are looking for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and interested in developing hands-on experience in apparel design and product development.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating initial design concepts using sketching, illustration, and digital tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
Develop detailed technical drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files for prototypes and production samples
Research current fashion trends, textiles, color theory, and fabric innovations to inform design direction
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including merchandising, technical design, and manufacturing to ensure cohesive product development
Support the creation of mood boards, fabric swatches, and presentation materials for design reviews
Participate in fitting sessions, garment construction reviews, and style adjustments to refine designs
Contribute to artistic concept development by exploring new ideas through sketching, 3D modeling software, and textile experimentation

Qualifications

Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) and CAD programs
Strong skills in fashion design sketching, illustration, and vector illustration techniques
Knowledge of textiles used in industrial design and garment construction processes
Knowledge of recoloring prints and fabric artwork
Ability to develop artistic concepts through illustration and graphic design; experience with 3D modeling software is advantageous
Excellent cross-functional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
Understanding of color theory, textile properties, and fabric sourcing for fashion styling
Background in professional art or design programs with a portfolio showcasing creative projects in fashion or related fields
A passion for fashion innovation combined with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in Fashion Design
Degree, coursework, or relevant experience in Fashion Design or a related field
Familiarity with garment fitting is a plus
Experience with product lifecycle management tools and merchandising principles is preferred
Knowledge of PLM such as Centric, Apparel Magic is preferred
Experience using Google Sheets, PowerPoint and Excel
