Associate Designer(S) (Fashion/Apparel)

The Los Angeles based Apparel Company is looking for a Associate Designer for Sweaters that will work in conjunction with all Sr Designer and Customer Design teams to create seasonal sweaters. The role of the Associate Designer for Sweaters is to work in conjunction with and support the Sr. Sweater Designer in executing designs provided by Divisional Sr Designers, to create seasonal sweaters and support the execution of Tech Packs, CADS, sketching, technical, practical, and creative aspects of the design process. Additionally, the Associate Designer will assist in the creation of samples overseas by communicating with the factories. What we are looking for: • Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience preferred • 4+ years of experience and training in the apparel industry working with sweaters • Must be Familiar with garment construction • Knowledge of Tech Pack creation and working with overseas factories • Computer experience and knowledge of Photoshop, CAD, Illustrator, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment • Ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills • Detail Oriented • Ability to problem-solve and communicate any issues to the team • All other duties as may be assigned.
