NOTE: This role is required to be in office at our corporate offices in Austin, TX two days a week. To be considered you must currently live in or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX.

We’re looking for a Associate Designer, Apparel Graphic Design to join our team to become an integral part of our creative team, contributing to the development of engaging products for our vibrant lifestyle brand. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and executing designs that embody our brand's unique identity and resonate with our audience. This role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the latest trends, participate in brainstorming sessions, and bring innovative ideas to life. Duties and Responsibilities

General Duties

Develop original apparel graphics, trims, hangtags and packaging for product lines, ensuring alignment with Chubbies’ brand identityCollaborate with Senior Design and Surface Design to refine concepts and translate ideas into production ready assetsEnsure all graphic designs adhere to Chubbies brand guidelines and resonate with the target audience.

Trend Research and Inspiration

Stay up-to-date with graphic, color and design trends with a focus on menswearResearch and build concept boards for seasonal collections and developmentParticipate in creative sessions with the product team and contribute fresh ideas

Collaboration and Communication

Partner with cross-functional teams including apparel design, merchandising, and product development to bring product to lifePresent design concepts to internal stake holders and incorporate feedback

Technical Execution

Create detailed mill sheets to convey design intent and production instructionsPrepare and maintain files for the Apparel Design and Product Development teams.Review samples and strike offs to ensure quality and design fidelity, communicating feedback for revisions

Qualifications

College Degree- BS/BA in Apparel/Fashion Design/Textile/Print/Graphic Design1-3 years of experience in graphic design within the apparel industryDigital PortfolioPassion for analog and digital art creationExcel in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, as well as ProcreateMicrosoft OfficeHand drawing, sketching, illustration skillsKnowledge of fabric & apparel printing methodsThrive in a fast-paced and collaborative, ever changing, team environment
