ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

We are Careismatic Brands, and we are the global leader in medical apparel, footwear, and accessories, and we have an excellent opportunity for an Associate Designer in our hybrid corporate office in Chatsworth, California. This is a key position that provides a wide range of design and administrative support to the Merchandising Team. Responsibilities Work directly with Designers to execute all development milestones Assist with set-up of all new product for costing and development in our PLM systems Responsible for organized and methodical record-keeping of each style Assist sketching as needed Prepare seasonal line sheets for presentations, Production, and Sales Work closely with team to accomplish Sales packages for key accounts (photograph samples, tagging garments, bagging, and boxing for shipping) Liaison between Patternmakers and Merchandising Department to update and share information on sample requests and fittings Provide additional support to the team as needed (clerical, organizing libraries, create headers, creative wall) General filing and administrative tasks as needed including special projects for the V.P. of Merchandising Adhere to calendar milestones and support the team in meeting deadlines Liaison between Merchandisers and Colorist Collaborate on new developments by coordinating with Department Colorist as well as the overseas team Prepping for lab-dip meetings, tagging digital sampling and labeling accordingly prior to passing to Pre-production Maintain and organize brand identity boards and physical branding books. Assist in trim sourcing, tracking progress, and organizing cabinets by season Requirements At least two years of apparel industry experience Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment Solid knowledge of fabric, trim, and garment construction Full understanding of the design development cycle Excellent communication skills Detail-minded, proactive, and team-oriented with proven ability to follow-up and coordinate work from beginning to finalization Highly deadline-oriented with ability to adhere to cross-functional calendar Excellent organizational and analytical skills Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
