Assistant/Associate Professor of Fashion Education

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant/Associate Professor of Fashion Education to join our faculty at the Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD). As a tenure-track faculty member, you will have the opportunity to shape the curriculum, teach courses, and mentor students in the field of fashion education. The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Fashion, Fashion Design, or a related field, with a minimum of three years' industry experience in fashion or garment design and development. They will also demonstrate teaching proficiency in patternmaking, draping, and apparel construction methods with knit and woven materials, functional clothing design, and fit analysis, as well as knowledge of textiles and emerging technologies in fashion/textiles, proficiency in CAD for patternmaking and technical design, demonstrated leadership qualities, evidence of teaching effectiveness, and ability to utilize professional knowledge and experience for collaboration and teamwork within the classroom and throughout the college. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $58,000 per year, plus an excellent, comprehensive benefit package.
