DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:Perry Ellis International, Inc. represents a diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands. The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike® and Jag® for swimwear, and Callaway®, PGA TOUR®, and Jack Nicklaus® for golf apparel.SUMMARYThe assistant textile designer is responsible for supporting the creation and production of print designs that meet or exceed the needs of the business in line with brand guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Create original artwork for prints, wovens, and graphics seasonally in support of multiple brands as needed. * Provides production ready artwork repeats and mechanicals. * Perform departmental maintenance of artwork archives and libraries as needed * Ensure prints are executed correctly for scale and placement as per design specifications.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES * Proficiency and expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Ned Graphics or related program * Strong artistic background including the ability to create conceptual and final art in several different mediums * General knowledge of print and textile design.
