Perfumania is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our new Mall of Louisiana location, scheduled to open in mid-November.

This is a great opportunity to join the management team from the beginning and help launch a brand-new store, build the sales culture, develop the team, and create strong performance from day one.

This Is a Sales Leadership Position

Our Assistant Store Manager is expected to be actively involved in selling every day. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, is motivated by commission-based earnings, understands sales goals and KPIs, and can coach a team to perform at a high level.

Perfumania specializes in genuine designer fragrances and operates more than 160 retail stores nationwide. Our teams provide personalized service while helping customers discover today's most popular fragrances, classic scents, and hard-to-find brands.

What You’ll Do

Help prepare and launch our new Mall of Louisiana store
Lead by example on the sales floor and actively sell with the team
Help recruit, train, coach, and develop new associates
Drive daily, weekly, and monthly store sales goals
Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators throughout the day
Coach associates on customer engagement, selling techniques, and closing the sale
Maintain high standards for customer service, merchandising, and store presentation
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory, and daily operations
Ensure company standards for loss prevention and operational procedures are followed
Learn our fragrance brands and confidently recommend products based on customer needs
Support the Store Manager in creating a positive, competitive, and results-driven sales environment

What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 2 years of retail management or relevant leadership experience
Strong sales background with a proven ability to achieve goals
Comfortable working in a base-pay plus commission environment
Experience coaching and motivating a sales team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable using POS systems and basic Microsoft Office programs
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent required; college education or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend, reach, receive merchandise, price products, and stock inventory
