Job Description

The Assistant Store Leader is crucial in enhancing store performance by ensuring that high standards are consistently met and by nurturing team development. This role involves taking charge of daily operations, supporting training initiatives, and fostering a well-organized, customer-focused shopping experience. The Assistant Store Leader is adaptable, quickly responding to changing priorities, and assists the Store Manager in achieving overall store success.

Responsibilities

People
• Collaborate with the Store Manager to attract, hire, and onboard talent.
• Lead ongoing training and development initiatives for team members.
• Coach performance, document feedback, and support necessary corrective actions.
• Foster team engagement through recognition, communication, and follow-up.

Operations
• Oversee the execution of operational standards and routines.
• Ensure adherence to the established Playbook through regular observation and walkthroughs.
• Guarantee compliance with safety, cash handling, and policy standards.
• Act as the operational leader in the Store Manager's absence.

Merchandising
• Direct the execution of visual directives and manage seasonal transitions.
• Ensure an effective product placement strategy that enhances sales and shopping ease.
• Maintain organizational standards for back-of-house operations.
• Coach Team Captains and team members on visual expectations.

Service
• Take ownership of service execution and customer experience quality.
• Evaluate the store from a customer’s perspective and make real-time adjustments.
• Address complex customer issues and ensure timely follow-up.
• Reinforce consistent service behaviors across all team shifts.

Results
• Assist in payroll planning and optimize labor efficiency.
• Analyze store performance data and implement strategies for improvement.
• Lead the execution of special events and high-demand periods.
• Drive towards daily, weekly, and monthly performance objectives.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of retail experience.
• 1+ year in a supervisory or team leader position.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Availability to work 10 to 20 hours per week, with flexibility for various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and local sports events.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, reach, and climb ladders as necessary.

Pay Range

$17.00 - $22.00
