As an Assistant Store Administrator, you will be a pivotal leader in our fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications:
• At least two years of leadership experience within a retail setting, ideally at the Assistant Manager level.
• Proven ability to motivate a diverse team and communicate effectively with associates at every level.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound independent judgment.
• Proficiency in basic retail mathematics and comfortable utilizing store technology, including PCs and point-of-sale systems.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical capability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift and the ability to lift or move merchandise weighing over 25 lbs.
• Fluent in English with a professional demeanor that reflects the Ross brand.

Responsibilities:
• Lead store-wide operations in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring all company best practices are executed efficiently.
• Oversee administrative functions, including precise payroll reporting, Sunday transmissions, and managing associate schedules to meet business needs.
• Actively participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new associates to build a high-performing team.
• Monitor controllable expenses and payroll hours, adjusting plans based on current business trends to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Promote a culture of safety by facilitating monthly meetings and ensuring all team members follow emergency and operational protocols.
• Supervise the processing of new merchandise, ensuring items move from the stockroom to the sales floor urgently and according to visual standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and "easy to shop" environment through regular floor recovery and coordination with maintenance staff.
• Manage loss prevention awareness programs to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of cash and credit transactions.
• Coach and mentor retail associates on delivering friendly, efficient service at registers and customer service desks.
