ASSISTANT, RAW MATERIALS - Hybrid

Job Summary: The Assistant, Raw Materials will be responsible for supporting many aspects of the fabric development and the sourcing process. They will also partner with cross functional departments in supporting the fabric life cycle as it pertains to the product development process Responsibilities: Support Materials and Design team with day-to-day tasks as they relate to Raw Materials Organize and maintain on-going fabric library Process bulk approval cuttings Maintain and upkeep Production Standard library as well as generate swatch production standards Assist in updating development tools for design team Maintain the fabric receiving process for all yardages received in the BNY office Assist with preparing and distributing seasonal color palettes Generate labels and send packages to vendors as needed. Request Fabric Detail Sheets from vendors Assist in updating and maintaining fabric information in DeSl & Blue Cherry Cut swatches as needed for various projects and requests Support in the creation of digital market boards Desired Background: Minimum Bachelor's degree in fashion or applicable field of study Experience: 0-2+ years of experience in the fashion/garment industry experience Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency Ability to interact across departmental divisions and integrate/collaborate with them Capable of managing projects, set schedules and meet deadlines Highly organized with strong attention to detail Must be creative, self-motivated and be able to work independently and as part of a team Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Flexible with an entrepreneurial drive
