Primary duties include teaching undergraduate courses for the Fashion Design and Merchandising majors and the Liberal Arts core curriculum for a program with a strong pre-professional, collaborative orientation. Teach a 21-credit course load of courses in ART 281: History of Costume and FASH 381: History of Modern Fashion, along with the opportunity to teach first-year seminars and honors program coursesOversee all details surrounding the Fashion Archive collectionMeet with students outside of class time for additional instruction as appropriateEngage in a variety of service duties, including school and college committee service, curriculum development and assessment, admissions, and community/ industry outreach.Engage in academic advisingConduct research in the candidate’s area of expertisePreferred Qualifications: The Fashion Program is housed in the School of Communication and the Arts, which prepares students for careers in communication, media, fashion & art practices, building valuable skills that complement a foundation in a liberal arts education.
