Assistant Designer, Women’s & Juniors

The Assistant Designer for women’s and junior’s apparel will provide overall support to the Design team by assisting in preliminary design research, creating tech packs and assembling presentation boards and materials. Key Accountabilities: Assist in contributing to complete landscape of and brand research for appropriate segment of business Assist in creating CAD sketches of styles in development Assist in ensuring all sampling technical packs are processed accurately and in a timely manner to be sent overseas Meet all deadlines in adherence to the seasonal design calendar Assist in creating seasonal design catalogs Coordinate sample packages and provide color and reference samples to the sample room as necessary Special projects as assigned across several categories including dresses, tops, bottoms, blazers, outerwear and swim Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design Minimum of 1 year (or more) of experience in related field and/or strong internship experience Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail Must apply with resume and portfolio link or work samples for consideration Consistent in-office presence is vital to the role to create apparel products and to set apart from brand competitors, however, this role has hybrid potential. Role may transition to 2-3 days work-from-home per month (or 1-day WFH every other week) after a 90-day introductory period. Direct-hire with medical benefits and paid time off. Pay Range: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 annually The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, year(s) of relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise.
