ASSISTANT DESIGNER - Women's RTW, HYBRID

We are looking for an entry-level Assistant Designer- Women’s RTW for a top fashion company in NYC. Must be available to be in office 2-3 days per week as this is a Hybrid role. Responsibilities: Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide clear specifications for construction Build and maintain the sample room Create flat sketches and CAD images Prepare design team for routine and milestone meetings, including the coordination of presentation boards/tableaus and selection of product samples Partner with technical design on fit and execution of prototypes, assisting with scheduled fittings and necessary follow-up Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties Review current trends in the industry and updating designs accordingly Communicate point of view clearly through mood boards, sketches and concept tears Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating for finalization Apply processes to understand/anticipate the needs of the customer in order to exceed customer expectations and readily react to their needs Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience Entry level with some women’s RTW design experience in a comparable retail environment Strong illustrator CAD skills Basic knowledge of garment construction PLM experience is a plus If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
