Based at our headquarters in Rye, New York, the successful candidate will draw on their experience to help us improve expanding range of products at the highest level of quality. Duties & Responsibilities Work closely with design, sourcing, and production teams to prepare and update tech-packs with specs, sketches, detailed construction notes, fabric & trim information for sampling Communicate with overseas factories on a daily basis for sample corrections, color, fabric, and trim approvals Spec development, PP, TOP samples and enter related data for record keeping Attend all fitting, cross-functional meetings, with the ability to communicate and problem solve product development issues Update and maintain product development logs, line sheets, fabric swatches, and design archives Meet all deadlines in adherence to our seasonal design calendars Organize and maintain the design and show rooms at Holderness & Bourne headquarters Build strong working relationships with our designer, director of sourcing & product development, and other colleagues Assist with other duties and projects as required to help support the overall business Required Skills & Experience Associate’s and / or bachelor’s degree in fashion / technical design 1 to 2 years working experience in the apparel industry; menswear preferred Strong understanding of garment construction, point of measurement, and specifications Extensive knowledge of and ability to spec both knit and woven garments Proficient in Microsoft Office Working knowledge in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop Creating detailed flat sketches (CAD), stripe layouts, and print repeat artworks using Adobe Illustrator considered a plus Extremely detail-oriented and organized Strong communication skills, both written and oral Ability to multi-task and shift direction with little notice Interest in gaining new responsibilities and taking initiative to complete tasks Good sense of color and understanding of prints and stripes for preparing artwork for factories and color approvals considered a plus Salaries & Benefits Competitive full-time salary in the range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year based on experience. Location / Travel Requirements This position will be based at our headquarters at 83 Purchase Street, in Rye, New York (conveniently located adjacent to the Rye Metro-North train station).
