Assistant Designer - Contemporary Women's RTW

Milly is currently looking for an Assistant Designer to support the design team in all aspects of the development cycle from concept to final product. A strong understanding of the Milly aesthetic is a must. Experience with contemporary brands. Print CADs and embroidery layout using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Communicate with production team and prepare packages for factories Assist in seasonal technical flat sketches Contribute sketches and body development when requested Build development tech packs Assist in overseas correspondence Support the completion of the Production Sheet each season Note taking in fittings 1-3 years’ experience in a contemporary brand Bachelor’s degree Strong understanding of the Milly brand and aesthetic EXCELLENT knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign Strong understanding of garment construction and pattern making General understanding of engineering prints in pattern pieces and fabric yield consumption Knowledge of fabric types, construction, finishing, and processes Good knowledge of Excel Must be highly organized, motivated, proactive and a team player Strong communication skills and ability to work well in multiple areas of development Positive attitude Ability to problem solve and multitask 40K-50K per year depending on experience level
