Assistant Designer

Swim USA is looking for an Assistant Designer to join our team. If you think this sounds like you, we'd like to hear from you! What You’ll Do… Create product based on specific internal and external customer requirements Use illustrator and photo shop to create cads with color and print dropped in Keep working line lists updated based on meetings Request needs for product development to the studio, import department and any other sources Review and comment on product development needs (Lab dips, strike offs, trims, visual appearance & fit of styles Create selling tools-presentation boards, line sheets and other tools needed or requested Follow a Time and Action calendar. Keep organized design notes and keep clear communication Supervises Sales Associates Design new bodies and create sketches for development Design embellishments and hardware and follow through with final approvals with the factory Participate in selecting of prints working with design team Participate in fittings and offer up comments and suggestions In charge of ALL Cad work pertaining various swimsuit lines Organize strike offs for easy reference when needed Shop marketplace for trends and ideas All other duties as assigned by the Design Director Who You Are... Bachelors Degree 1-3 years of relevant experience Strong sketching and illustration ability Strong fashion and color print sense Strong computer skills and CAD work and design Must have clear communication, strong organizational skills, good judgement, etc. Must be a team player, reliable, and possess high quality of work Team player
