Our client, a well-known fashion brand based in San Francisco, is looking for an Assistant Designer to join their team. the Assistant Designer will support the design process by developing innovative work, communicating with vendors, and researching current trends. The ideal candidate will have previous design experience and be able to manage deadlines efficiently. Responsibilities: Prepare basic flat sketch designs Assist with basic specification of product and color Attend fitting sessions Make revisions to sketch and design package as needed Assist in researching the local market Responsible for trimming supplies and/or working with the Trim Department to keep abreast of current ideas Qualifications: College degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred One year of design experience (may include summer jobs, internships, etc.) Basic computer knowledge; ability to learn how to design through new/advanced technology (e.g., adobe illustrator cad program) Basic product and fabric knowledge Basic understanding of garment construction Basic design and color sense Ability to perform basic flat sketches Basic organizational and communication skills If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
