ASSISTANT DESIGNER

Magnetic Me (www.MagneticMe.com) is looking for an assistant designer to support the design and production team in the seasonal design development and production process, from concept to delivery. Key function will be to work closely with the Creative Director to provide support in the design/production process from conception to final production. Work with creative director for preliminary design research, including competitive analysis; assemble presentation boards for meetings, prepare mock-ups, color-ups, inspirational photos, etc. Contribute to seasonal catalog design process. ), good knowledge of Excel Strong knowledge of print rendering and print submission process as well as vendor communication Understanding of garment construction and FIT measurements General understanding of color, print development and creating repeats Experience with technical design process & creating detailed tech packs for both garments and prints Must be highly organized, motivated, proactive and a team player Positive attitude Strong communication skills and ability to work well in multiple areas of development Ability to problem solve and multitask The position will report directly to the Creative Director.
