ART DIRECTOR

We seek a collaborative, creative leader passionate about creating engaging brand interactions to join our Brand Marketing team in New York. We are Caleres, a global footwear company with brands that fit people’s lives. We seek people who: Combine key functions of design, art direction and creative management to develop differentiating concepts and ideas that emotionally connect with our customer and drive positive perception of our brands cross all mediums – with a focus on digital Ensure the timely execution of creative projects and communicate timelines and budgets to clients and partners Collaborate with creative and marketing teams, ensuring clear communication and the production of high-level creative design solutions Assure clear art direction for all brand shoots, in house and major campaigns (video and still) Create compelling graphic design solutions across all brand touchpoints with a focus on digital design Create compelling graphic design solutions across all brand touchpoints with a focus on digital design Understand competitive environment and each brand’s consumer segments while remaining current in the latest fashion and footwear trends We seek people with these qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Art, Graphic Design or related field required 5-7 years’ experience at an advertising agency or creative department and 2+ years managing a team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently present creative diverse brand-oriented portfolio execution with print and digital expertise.
