As part of the Running/Training/Studio apparel design team, you will contribute to designing products that meet PUMA’s global performance brand and quality standards. Your role supports innovation, trend research, and the creation of apparel that drives commercial success and consumer engagement.

Role and Responsibilities of Apparel Designer:

As an Apparel Designer, you will create and execute apparel concepts across seasonal and carryover ranges, ensuring alignment with PUMA’s performance and brand standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality products while maintaining timelines and organizational standards.

Work with the apparel design team, product development, and PLM team to develop four seasonal and carryover apparel ranges per yearComplete artwork pages, CADs, and tech packages accurately and on time based on design calendarsPartner with Developers and sourcing offices to ensure product design, fit, and function align with expectationsCreate apparel products that meet cost, margin, and brief requirementsDrive desirability, innovation, and inspiration to create ICON productsEnsure all products comply with PUMA international design, brand, and quality standardsCollaborate with the Running Footwear team for seasonal color, trend, performance, and graphic alignmentConduct market research including competitor analysis, consumer insights, price studies, and trend forecastingPrepare and organize key meeting tools and present apparel and graphic design concepts to small and large groupsCommunicate and participate effectively within cross-functional teamsTravel approximately 10-15% when applicableRequired Skills and Experience of Apparel Designer:

BS/BA or BFA degree preferred2-4 years of experience as an Apparel Designer, Apprentice, or Assistant, preferably in a performance apparel companyKnowledge of the sports performance and/or sport lifestyle market, including competition, distribution, pricing, product, consumer, and retail environmentStrong line merchandising abilities with experience building well-rounded collectionsProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)Technical knowledge of fabrics, trims, product development, and quality requirementsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentAbout PUMA:
