Apparel Design Assistant (Entry-Level)

Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our Design team in daily operations, product organization, and cross-functional coordination. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to grow within the fashion industry while gaining hands-on experience in product lifecycle management and design operations. The Design Assistant will work closely with the Head of Design and collaborate with the design teams to ensure product development processes run smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities • Assist with organizing and maintaining sample notes and product documentation • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Design team • Take detailed and accurate meeting notes and distribute recaps • Work within our PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) platform to organize product data • Maintain trackers and Excel sheets to support product and project timelines • Help manage design calendars and milestone deadlines • Support preparation for internal reviews, fittings, and presentations • Organize digital files and shared drives • Assist with cross-functional follow-ups to ensure timely execution of deliverables • Provide general administrative and operational support to the Design team Qualifications • Degree or diploma in Fashion Management (or equivalent practical experience) • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, assistance, or design support • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented mindset • Team player with a positive and professional attitude What We’re Looking For • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail • Comfortable working behind the scenes to support team success • Strong sense of accountability and ownership • Passion for product development and the fashion industry • Eagerness to learn and grow within a design organization • Curious mindset with a strong desire to build product knowledge
