The Apparel Designer I supports Design team initiatives across Product, Color, and Merchandising Design for outerwear and sportswear apparel and accessories, adult and kids. Utilize trend services and participate in industry trade shows and outdoor activities to stay current and protect the brand aestheticResearch emerging trends to inform early-season color and concept workSupport seasonal color R&D through market research and brand knowledgeManage color and design documentation, keeping merchandising and PLM partners informed of key updatesPartner with fabric, product development, production teams, and overseas vendors on seasonal color work and samplingGather visual references (photos, reports, samples) to support creative directionManage workload and deliverables against seasonal timeline and key go-to-market (GTM) datesIdentify new findings, trims, and accessories to support product end use and retail detailSupport seasonal print layout direction for clear merchandising and storytellingManage print assets and artwork setupPartner with the Materials Manager to align prints and yarn dyes with seasonal color directionAssist Senior Color Designer and Design management with seasonal logo/graphics inspiration and artwork contractor follow-upDesign accessories/logowear through the full product lifecycleManage multiple projects at once, prioritizing by stakeholder and importancePush design vision forward with proactive input, staying true to brand mission and valuesUnderstanding of AI and 3D Design tools a plus The base salary range for this role is $55,000-$65,000. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of the range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
