ACCOUNTANT

Overview Reebok Classics leverage the brand’s fitness heritage and represent the roots of the brand in the sports lifestyle market. Reebok is an American-inspired global brand with headquarters in Boston, MA. Key Responsibilities: Support SAP data structures as needed by coding and validating data using system logic Assist with SAP implementation by reviewing data, validating information and developing processes Provide reporting related to sales tax and other taxes Research issues related to tax reporting Reconcile assets and liabilities related to inventory Research and problem solve inventory control issues Manage accurate and timely completion of all accounting close responsibilities Adjust any errors timely with the appropriate parties Identify and drive efficiencies and improve processes Participate in projects related to the process flows to improve errors Cross train team with team to support as needed Support accounting team by executing additional responsibilities and special projects, attend key meetings and report on findings from meetings Responsible for reconciliations with a clear understanding of the accounts Ensure accuracy and timely completion of month end tasks and balance sheet reconciliations identifying and escalating risks to manager Maintain effective, independent communication within team and business partners Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Deadline driven, results-oriented, highly responsible and accountable, high integrity, strong work ethic and values Entrepreneurial and self-motivated attitude, ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment, demonstrated teamwork skills, ability to work cross functionally Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, detail-oriented, and a high degree of accuracy are all essential Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills; good project management skills, innovative use of IT tools and new technology Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment, good time management and ability to prioritize Strong accounting and analytical skills, thorough understanding of accounting processes, capability to apply or adapt processes to new situations Capable of performing detailed financial analysis Strong knowledge of SAP preferred
