Account Executive - Chicago Collective Women's Edition

Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI), a division of Vornado Realty Trust, is a leading owner and operator of integrated showroom and office buildings, as well as trade show facilities, bringing buyers and sellers together through market events, trade and consumer shows, and conferences each year. We are looking for the right person to sell temporary exhibit space for the Chicago Collective Women’s Edition. Proactively sell temporary exhibit space Developing and maintaining prospect lists to organize sales efforts Developing relationships with key exhibitors through tradeshow visits and telephone/email contact Maintain a prospect database Generate customer leads, researching industry trends, and prospecting at other trade show events Assisting with floor plan layout Assist with on-site show management and solving on-site exhibitor issues at trade shows Work alongside marketing to sell sponsorship opportunities Work in conjunction with marketing, operations, and labor unions to ensure alignment in the execution of the Chicago Collective Women’s Edition Work closely with exhibitors and our buyer relations manager to help generate new store leads Skills/ Abilities: Must possess top level business management, interpersonal and leadership skills Expertise with Word, Excel, adapt to interoffice programs and databases Ability to identify and/or follow up on sales leads and referrals Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures Excellent oral and written communication skills Education / Experience: Related experience in the apparel industry is a must!
