Academic Fashion Design Internship

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure in all facets of a growing brand, to learn and work in a fun, dynamic and creative environment. The highly organized candidate will train and collaborate with the head designer and junior designer to create mood boards, cads, new tech packs for sampling of new line, follow up with factories about sampling process, prepare final tech pack for production and follow through to the completion of an approved final product. The candidate will take part in the development and selection of artwork, in addition to the preparations of the flat sketch design for new products and create design sketches for enhancements to existing products. Qualities/Skills • Eager to learn • Full of ideas • Able to design around concepts and to design flat sketches • Fluent hand illustration skills are a definite plus • Sketching of sample garments • Intuitive color sense, keen eye and great attention to detail • Understanding of garment construction, specs and fit • Sophisticated taste with focus on creating quality products • Passion to design compelling and cutting-edge products • Preparing technical packages for final art, starting & completing final CAD presentations for sales • Ability to work independently, to follow directions and to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines • Solid organizational, and presentation skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Hands-on, inquisitive, creative • Self-motivated and diligent worker who takes pride in their work • Proactively seeks out opportunities to maximize the business • Has a strong work ethic; works hard Having expanded our distribution channels, we are an established brand worldwide.
