International Logistics  Manager Company Description: Bernard Chaus, Inc. designs, sources, and markets nationally and internationally an extensive range of women's career, casual sportswear, and dresses. Their products are sold through all primary retail distribution levels principally under various trademarks and under private label brand names. Responsibilities: Before the release of shipments, ensure all international shipments comply with set trade guidelines. Provide updates on the progress of shipments and make arrangements to get final instructions for cargo to/from domestic and foreign Manage pre-bookings, Air and Sea shipment at multiple origins departure points Create and maintain transit tables for all origins all modes of transportation Manage relationship with freight forwarders Resolve pre-production operational issues Manage carton packing / label placement / Carton Markings / Container loading Ensure on-time departure from origin Actively communicate with all origin vendors for unknown delivery dates. Knowledge of Incoterms, Customs Rules and Regulations, HTS Classification Code Train origin shipping at factories processes as needed Provide timely and essential communication and follow-up with Supervisor and Team Members as needed Achieve departmental objectives, develop and document procedures to streamline business operations to improve team efficiencies and productivities Manage orders through a variety of web-based tools, including the ERP and Shipping portals Obtain necessary information on incomplete or revised shipping requirements.
